Easter baskets and other containers

Baskets are a traditional part of celebrating Easter, our favorite springtime holiday.

While you can go out and buy a basket every year, here are a few that have some staying power — that you can pull out every Easter and eventually hand to your kids as they leave the nest.

Wire bread basket

Yes, this is a bread basket. But with a little creativity, this wire bread basket can be fashioned into a unique Easter basket you and your child will love. Add a pastel-colored lining and perhaps a few little decorations around the rim, and you’ve got a basket you’ll never find in a store.

Bay breeze basket

This Easter basket has plenty of room for Easter grass and gifts, and it is sturdy enough to last through the years and all of the celebrations that come along with this festive holiday. The basket comes in six colors, but we suggest the blue, or perhaps the white, to keep with an Easter theme.

Pink striped bin

This pink striped bin is so delightful that it works very well as an Easter basket. Its sturdy construction, jaunty stripes and pink lining make this bin perfect for stuffing full of candy and toys this Easter.

Herringbone storage bin

Here’s another storage bin — this time in a refreshing mint color that will work for any child. This bin offers a lot of room for goodies, so if you have a lot of items to gift that are on the larger side, this is the container you need.

Personalized colorful dots easter basket

A white wicker basket looks so much cuter with a polka dot lining. This Easter basket also allows for personalization, so your child can keep it as they grow and bring it out every year. This basket is particularly unique because the handle folds down, which makes it far easier to store.

Wicker basket

This wicker basket makes great use of neutral colors, which can help its contents shine when Easter rolls around. Dual handles make carrying easy (for all that egg collecting), and the basket features a delicate linen lining that can be removed and cleaned if need be.

Unicorn bag

You don’t see many Easter unicorns hopping around, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your kid a unicorn bag to use as an Easter basket. This bag is made from high-quality canvas and has quite a bit of space inside for all the Easter goodies you can find — it’s 16 inches tall.

Plush bunny basket

This Easter basket is just too charming. It features the sweet face and floppy ears of the Easter Bunny, and while it’s soft and plush, it has a wire frame to keep its shape. The handle (also plush) will fold down for storage, and the basket has a silky pink satin lining.
