It has all theĀ comforting flavors of fallĀ andĀ of Thanksgiving,Ā all wrapped up in one steaming mug of holiday goodness! And bonus, the simpleĀ ingredients makes it a snap to stirĀ up after a laborious Thanksgiving meal. AĀ splashĀ of orange juice and cranberries add a bright fruityĀ burst, but it’s not too sweet.

Brown sugar-citrus hot toddy

Yield 2 servings


  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 2 lemon (wedges)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Cranberries, for garnish


  1. Stir brown sugar, hot water, lemon and orange juice in a small pitcher until brown sugar dissolves.
  2. Stir in bourbon and divide between 2 mugs.
  3. Garnish each with a lemon wedge and cranberries.
